\nDuquesne, Pa. \u2013 Basic bedding manufacturer American Textile Company raised $87,000 in 2014 in support of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure national foundation, its Pittsburgh affiliate and related breast cancer research and awareness programs, the company said.

We\u2019re proud to support efforts to find a cure and generate more awareness, especially among women who are at risk,\u201d said Jennifer Katz, vp of marketing communications. \u201cWe are thankful to the retailers that partnered with us for this initiative and to the consumers who purchased a pillow or a pillow protector in an effort to save lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
Since 2005, American Textile\u2019s Pink Dreaming initiative has raised more than $285,000. The program offers polyester-filled bed pillows and protectors featuring pink coloring.<\/p>\n
Retailers that partnered on Pink Dreaming last year included Altmeyer\u2019s, Amazon.com, Bi-Mart Stores, Boscov\u2019s, Century 21 Department Store, Fred Meyer, Gabriel Brothers, H.G.
