A project meant to create training facilities in woven as well as knitted garment sector for female workers and others has been put forth to industrialists.<\/p>\n
However, the training program entails a burden of Rs 28,000 on each worker’s training, forcing industrialists to write to Ministry of Textile to share 50 percent of the expenses to be incurred, sources said.<\/p>\n
Industrialists want Government to share burden on a fifty-fifty basis and not just doling out stipend amounting to Rs 7,500 to each trainee for three months, where as remaining amount of Rs 20,500 is proposed to be borne by industry to spend on rent for building, electricity charges, machinery rental, transportation cost, purchase of training material such as fabric and sewing thread etc, and fees of two instructors and helpers each, for a class of 40 female trainees, sources said.<\/p>\n
