The Sapphire Jewelry Group of the Red Hat Royalty Society met Jan. 24 at the Corner Cafe in Centralia.<\/p>\n
Leader Lorraine Bassett led the Red Hat Prayer and was hostess, giving each lady a valentine candy wrapped in cellophane and a red ribbon. <\/p>\n
Red Hat Day was celebrated Feb. 3, and the members were encouraged to wear red. Plans were made to attend a Valentine party on Feb. 16 at the Central City Lions Club with the Pearl Jewelry Group and Leader Ruth Carpenter in charge. Members were invited to the Red Hat International Convention in June in St. Louis. Sue Ellen Cooper, founder of the Red Hats, will be featured at the event.<\/p>\n

Members of the Sapphire Jewelry Group are Becky Ault, Brenda White, Bev Virobik, DeLane Bright, Mary Ann Langenfeld, Halle Rauch, Alice Malzahn, Margaret Sanders, Nancy Siegmund, Ruth Sanders and Judy Sutherland.
