The jeweler said he was pleased that his new jewels \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Black Jack\u00e2\u20ac\u009d collection was such a hit at the JCK Las Vegas Show 2006. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The line has been very popular,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Mehta told Rapaport News.<\/p>\n
Dimpex Jewels and Dimpex Manufacturing Company are based in Mumbai. The JCK Show held June 3-7, 2006 was Dimpex\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s third appearance at the show. Vijay said business at the show has been \u00e2\u20ac\u0153okay,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d but added that the activity as of day No.4 was not meeting his expectations.<\/p>\n
Other than the interest in Black Jack, buyers were looking for more standard designs, he said.<\/p>\n
Dimpex also launched two other collections at JCK, its new bridal collection titled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153You complete me,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and a gift collection called \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Faith, Love & Luck,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d which features a circle of faith and love ring, and diamond pendant that doubles as a ring (pictured ahead.)<\/p>\n
According to Mehta, consumers in India prefer jewelry with a story behind the scenes especially when romance is involved, such was the basis for creating the bridal and gift collection, which also represent sentimental feelings.<\/p>\n
During the JCK Show, Diamond Promotion Service held a seminar on the up coming Journey Diamond Jewelry launch. Mehta commented that the collection\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s popularity maybe confined to the United States at first, but would undoubtedly spread into India as well \u00e2\u20ac\u0153as did the three-stone diamond ring. Consumers are sure to enjoy it because of the story behind Journey,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he said.<\/p>\n
