Burglars clear home of electronics, jewelry

A 30-year-old resident of the 1000 block of Oakshire Avenue came home at 6 a.m. Nov. 5 to discover her house had been broken into sometime during the night.<\/p>\n
The woman told officers she left at 6 p.m. Nov. 4 to spend the night at a friend’s house. When she returned the next morning, she found the side door open and damaged from having been pried.<\/p>\n
Missing from the house were her BlackBerry, laptop computer and charger, jewelry box containing all her jewelry, digital camera, Apple iPod and several CDs and DVDs.<\/p>\n
n A 12-year-old Berkley girl trick-or-treating at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 31 in the area of Edwards and Cummings was robbed of her candy and a Chocolate cell phone. The girl said she was carrying a purple pillow case with the candy and cell phone inside when another youth, age 12-14, approached her from behind and grabbed it. The youth was described as black, 5-foot-4, with black hair and wearing a gray hooded shirt and blue jeans. Officers checked the area but could find no suspect.<\/p>\n
n A 36-year-old Waterford man was issued a citation for urinating in public after an officer saw him relieve himself outside his vehicle in the parking lot of 7-Eleven on 12 Mile Road about 12:50 a.m. Nov. 3. The officer was observing the parking lot from across the street. The officer pulled the man over after he got into his vehicle and drove westbound on 12 Mile. When the officer asked him if he always made the world his bathroom, the man reportedly responded, “Oh, you saw me do that?”<\/p>\n
