Choosing a Summery Color Palette for Your Jewelry
| August 02, 2016, 04:16:26 PM

Deep, rich colors are popular in the winter - particularly if they're in warm tones! However, now that summer is here it's time to trade in those deep colors for a less rich palette. Think light, bright, and fresh colors for summer. If your accessories were food, now is the time to trade in hearty stews for refreshing salads.

With that in mind, may we suggest these colors for your summer jewelry?

Blues

Whether it's the turquoise of the Caribbean Sea or the sky blue of a summer day, blue is cool, crisp, and refreshing. Maritime blues, in particular, can't help but evoke thoughts of summer fun!

Greens

As every flower gardener knows, greens accent bright colors beautifully. Since we are always happy to customize a piece for you, we could combine colorful beads with a variety of greens for a floral-inspired bracelet that would have any florist 'green' with envy!

Citrus colors

These yummy colors include lemon yellows, lime greens, grapefruit pinks, orange...well, you know! Bright and refreshing with just a bit of zip, these colors practically sing summer.

Sunny tones

Pantone describes peachy pinks as "an all-encompassing, tempered companion in the playful orange family." Fire Opal is another sunny color that works well for jewelry. Both of these colors remind us of sunny summer days at the beach.
Add a little buttercup yellow here and there to liven up your summer jewelry collection. This happy, bubbly color just 'pops'!

Rose quartz pink

This is what Pantone has to say about this soft, natural pink: "Like a serene sunset, flushed cheek or budding flower, Rose Quartz reminds us to reflect on our surroundings during the busy but lighthearted spring and summer months."

Rose quartz pink is delicate, sexy, and ultra-romantic, especially when it's coupled with pearls like in this beautiful necklace. Perfect for a romantic summer evening!

Neutrals

Cool down the bright and playful colors of summer with hints of creamy neutrals. Like turquoise seas playing off white sand beaches, these neutrals nicely accent the brighter colors with which they're paired.

Pantone recommends Iced Coffee & Lilac Gray as other effective summery neutrals. This Tanzanite Crystal and Mauve Pearl Anklet pairs lavender, mauve, and gray for a subtly beautiful and summery piece that showcases these neutrals.
