EL PASO – Federal authorities raided an El Paso garment plant Tuesday, seizing truckloads of documents and computerized records.
About 65 federal agents served a sealed search warrant at a National Center for the Employment of the Disabled clothing company, which makes military uniforms, said Andrea Simmons, an FBI spokeswoman in El Paso.

A plan by the Cambodian Government to update the country’s labour law is being applauded by employers and condemned by a major union. The first change to be legislated is likely to affect the garment making industry by cutting the wages paid to night shift workers. The union is threatening a nationwide strike, while the government says the move will create many more jobs.

EL PASO, Texas – Federal authorities raided an El Paso garment plant Tuesday, seizing truckloads of documents and computerized records.

A continuous fall of exports of readymade garment to the United States market, which is the largest single market, dipped for yet another month. The month of April 2014, though, saw a marginal decline of three per cent, it is the consecutive fourth month that the Nepali apparel products has been losing its upbeat.

The garment exports to the US has been suffering from the very beginning of this year as it witnessed a whopping decline of 54 per cent in January, 64 per cent in February and 47 per cent in March.

BANGKOK, May 8 (TNA) – Thailand’s textile and garment exports continued to grow in the first quarter of this year, increasing by 9 per cent to US$1.67 billion or around 66.25 billion baht with the United States, the European Union (EU) and Japan becoming main destinations, according to the Department of Foreign Trade.
