AUSTRALIA has reduced the local content requirement for all garments exported to Australia under the SPARTECA-TCF scheme.
This means that from February 23, garments will only require 25 per cent of raw of materials sourced from within Fiji to qualify for duty-free export to Australia under the scheme.

Ha Noi, Feb 7 (NNN-VNA) The Ministry of Trade has recently warned that US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) may request additional documentation from local companies to avoid illegal shipments of textiles and garments.
US ports may request records such as certificates of origin, bills of lading, or Vietnamese Government issued documents regarding conditions of release for export.

In an order issued on Monday, Department of Labor hearing officer Jerry Cody instructed the garment workers to register themselves on or before Feb. 20 with the Division of Employment and Training Services which will inform them of their transfer rights and obligations.
