Pennsylvania’s version of the Make It Yourself With Wool contest was held Saturday at The Factory Shops at Georgian Place in Somerset.

KARACHI: Country’s garment manufacturers and exporters won government’s assurance on Monday of relaxing cost of doing business in Pakistan with major incentives in power tariff for the export-oriented industry in the proposed National Textile Strategy.

A meeting between garment manufacturers and exporters and officials ended with several proposals from the stakeholders particularly addressed to production cost and market access of Pakistani product mainly to the European markets. KARACHI: The government is considering establishing a modern Leather Garment City in Karachi in order to boost the country’s exports.

Chairman Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Tariq Ikram stated this while talking to newsmen at a ceremony organised by the Pakistan Leather Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PLGMEA) to mark the completion of leather garment workforce training project with the assistance of Korean technicians.
