Textile Group’s profit rises 47.9 percent

Addressing the Press at the inaugural ceremony of the 32nd Buyers Sellers Meet in the city today, Mr Vijay Kariwala, president designate of the West Bengal Garment Manufacturers and Dealers Association, said the sector grew at a rate of 20 per cent last year. “The trend is likely to continue as there is a huge demand for our products but we have to overcome a number of constraints,†he said. Vietnam : Tung Phuong Garment Co. inks $400,000 exports deal with Belgium

Tung Phuong Garment Company, recently, signed a contract worth US $400,000 of exports to Belgium market, officials of the company said.
This contract will be wrapped up by September, 2014.

Responding to an influx of offices and hotels that have driven up rents in the fashion district, business activists in the midtown neighborhood have declared Wednesday “Save the Garment Center Pin Day.”
