INDIA: Siyaram to setup Rs 20 cr high-tech garment unit in Daman

SURAT: The known fabric manufacturer and exporter, Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd. is in process to setup Rs 20-crore high-tech garment unit for its new ready-to-wear (RTW) sub-brand called Siyaram’s MSD (Monday to Sunday Dressing) at Daman, Ramesh Poddar, managing director said here on December 15.

The planned garment unit is likely to commence manufacturing from January-2014 at Daman which will be equipped with modern machinery coupled and has a battery of designers as well as a state-of-the-art research and development centre for designing readymade garments and accessories for men. AV Giri, a resident of Jaypur town in the southern district of Koraput, demonstrated the garment in his hometown.

HA NOI — Twelve garment and footwear companies were honoured at an awards ceremony on Thursday in Ha Noi for their social responsibility and out standing contributions to the business world over the course of 2014.

The winners were: Ha Noi Textile and Garment Corp with first prize, Phong Phu Corp and Dong Nai Dong Phuong Ltd Co with second place prizes, Viet Tien Garment Export and Import Corp, Song Hong Garment SJC and Long An Garment Export JSC with third place prizes.
