Dhaka, May 14 (PTI): Bangladesh may sign a pact with India to export ready made garments to its giant neighbour and take advantage of New Delhi’s zero-duty offer for poorer SAARC nations, a news report has said.

FAISALABAD, May 13 (APP): Pakistan can earn foreign exchange upto $ 80 billion by developing its garment sector on modern scientific lines, said Mukhtar Ahmad Sheikh, Chairman, Faisalabad Garment City Company (FGCC).Talking to APP here Sunday, he said that being a major cotton producing country, Pakistan had to switch over to garments by completing its value addition chain in textile sector at least 20 years ago. PHNOM PENH : Cambodia’s economy in 2005 grew twice as quickly as in the previous year on the back of booming tourism and strong garment exports, the International Monetary Fund said.
However, growth is expected to slow substantially over the current calendar year with record oil prices partially to blame.

EL PASO – Federal authorities raided an El Paso garment plant Tuesday, seizing truckloads of documents and computerized records.
About 65 federal agents served a sealed search warrant at a National Center for the Employment of the Disabled clothing company, which makes military uniforms, said Andrea Simmons, an FBI spokeswoman in El Paso.
