The jewelry company Frey Wille was founded in 1951 by the Viennese enamel artist Michaela Frey, who created ornamental artifacts and jewelry from enamel. She decorated her pieces by hand with floral and folklore ornaments.
After Frey’s death in 1980, the company developed a new, academically trained design team under the leadership of Simone Grunberger-Wille, which focused on the creation of art jewelry, emphasizing the artistic work in every design.
