The list of celebrities wearing jewelry by Vancouver’s Damien Brown continues to grow.

Brown said Paris Hilton , country singer Tim McGraw and actress Naomi Watts all have worn pieces from his collection this summer. Toryn Green , lead singer for the band Fuel, also was spotted wearing one of Brown’s pendants, according to Brown.

His collection is predominantly necklaces and earrings but will expand this fall and spring.

“We’ve got amazing engraved semiprecious stone jewelry, trendy men’s and women’s leather cuff bracelets and even limited edition bamboo-organic cotton men’s and women’s tees,” Brown said in an e-mail.

Earlier, actress Evangeline Lilly wore a Brown necklace on the television show “Lost.” Ava Gaudet , a member of the cast on “Ugly Betty,” also wore one of his necklaces on that show.

Locally, Brown’s jewelry is available at Altman Gallery in Vancouver.

Dancing with the stars

Vancouver’s Bradley Gooding , 9, and Lindsey Edmunds , 8, are becoming Clark County’s own youthful version of Fred and Ginger.

The dynamic dance team won a talent competition in Seaside, Ore., earlier this year, and now the two are champions of a talent search staged by Radio Disney at an outdoor shopping area in Hillsboro, Ore.

By finishing first among 65 entries with a jazz-art dance routine, the pair earned a prize package that includes tickets to see “Hannah Montana” at Portland’s Rose Garden arena in October.

The Gooding and Edmunds families were friends before Bradley and Lindsey began dancing together nine months ago.

“Bradley would dance around at home,” his mother, Jodie Gooding , said. “We decided we needed to get him some lessons.”

He joined Kara’s Dance Studio in Vancouver, where Lindsey is a student.

Both are big fans of television shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance?” and “America’s Got Talent.”

Bradley attends Harmony Elementary School; Lindsey goes to Pioneer Elementary School in Vancouver.

Sleepless in Vancouver

Eric Donaldson got less than four hours of sleep each night in the week leading up to this summer’s Uptown Village Street Festival.

And the 55-year-old owner of Inner Rhythm’s Healing Arts had to drop everything on the Friday before the event when city workers erected barricades on Main Street 10 hours before the street was scheduled to be closed.

But headaches were minimal for the event, which had a record crowd of 5,500 on Saturday, and that’s why Donaldson says he can’t wait to do it all again.

“I’ve already put in my bid to be director next year,” Donaldson said.

The barricades went up at noon Friday instead of 10 p.m. that evening. It took about 10 minutes for merchants to notice traffic had come to a standstill and alerted Donaldson to the problem. He had to take the barricades down himself. Despite the minor traffic control hiccup, Donaldson said the merchants made the festival a success.

His co-worker at the Inner Rhythm’s, Deanna Ramage , served as festival chairwoman, and several other business owners were equally as busy.

“I take the Steven Spielberg approach,” he said. “I get the best at what they do and surround myself with them.”
