This season, fashion is all about bright, bold colors: Kelly green, bright magenta, neon orange and sunny yellow. Some of the most popular bracelets look like strung gum balls in equally vivid hues that borders on gaudy, but that’s what makes it fun.

Keep a collection of pieces to make a rainbow jealous, whether for beach side, country side or just a night out.

Here’s a list of trends to fit any fashion budget:

* Wish list: The silver batu kali citrine large square ring by John Hardy is part of his new line inspired by nature. The band is supposed to be reminiscent of river rocks, and it gives the chunky ring a funky feel. A Hilary Swank favorite, get ready to fork over $795 for this piece of beauty. Find it at Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue on North Michigan Avenue or Macy’s on North State Street.

* Reality list: This chain bangle from Kmart. It’ll add a pop of color to your arm without bankrupting your pocket book: $7.99 OK for you?

* Wish list: The handmade earrings from Leah Jewelry. A little longer than 1 1/2 inches, these 14-karat gold earrings are made with tourmaline and freshwater pearls. The bright pink and varying shades of green in the dangling earrings look as though they were taken straight from a flower garden. Get them for $275 at leahjewelry.com.

* Reality list: Lia Sophia’s costume jewelry this season gives new meaning to flower power. The Chick A Bloom piece is a large cut-out daisy with magenta, lime, red and pale pink jewels dotting the flower. Get this charm strung on a piece of pink suede cord for $59 at www.liasophia.com.
