Another garment manufacturer-Sam Kwang Saipan Corp.-is shutting down operations on Saipan by January 2014. The closure will affect 117 alien workers and 23 resident workers.

A 32-year-old former garment worker was arrested for failing to depart from the CNMI in July.

Wang Lang was brought to Superior Court for a bail hearing on Wednesday morning.

UK : Smart technology develops new ‘HealthVest’ garment

SmartLife Technology Ltd in Manchester has been awarded an Exceptional Development Grant of £500,000 by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) to develop a garment called the ‘HealthVest’.

Since 2004 the company has developed a garment that incorporates sensors allowing the monitoring of vital health signs and this technology is likely to allow the continuous monitoring of a person’s vital signs and wellbeing.

The ‘HealthVest’ is expected to be made available to a wide range of sectors including medical, sports, the emergency services and professional drivers.

The garment uses sensors which can monitor electrocardiogram (ECG), respiration and temperature and is worn next to the skin as an undergarment. The garment then transfers raw signals to electronics carried by the subject for processing, presentation or forwarding to a remote monitoring centre. In order to make the 14th Dalai Lama look good, the Dalai Clique extol him, the former chief representative of the feudal serfdom under the theocratic socio-political structure, as the “representative of democracy”, and claim that “democracy has always been the Dalai Lama’s ideal” and he is “promoting democracy among Tibetans in exile”.

It is common knowledge that human society evolves through three stages – theocracy, monarchy and civil rights.
