Diploma course in garment manufacturing

Coimbatore, Nov 5: Tamil Nadu MBC and DNC Welfare Department is sponsoring BC/MBC/DNC students for the one-year diploma course in knit garment manufacturing technology conducted by the Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC), Tirupur.
Eligible candidates of BC/MBC/DNC community between the age of 18 and 30 and passed Plus Two/degree and with a family income less than Rs 50,000 per annum may attend the walk-in interview at the Tirupur centre at 10 a.m. on November 10.
Candidates attending the interview should present their original mark sheets, transfer certificate, community certificate, income certificate, two latest passport size photos and a self-addressed envelope with Rs 5 postage stamp along with one set of xerox copy, a department release said today.
ATDC, sponsored by Apparel Export Promotion Council, Union Ministry of Textiles, is functioning in various cities and conducting specially devised vocational courses on garment manufacturing and the trainees get easily adapted to the readymade garment industry, the release said. (Agencies)
