Garment Gallery to stay open with volunteers
Evening Observer, NY

8/15/2014 – A few weeks ago, Natalie, the reliable woman who managed Rural Ministry Garment Gallery (137 Central Ave., Dunkirk) for more than a year, had a bicycle accident and was unable to do intense work for several months. Rural Ministry needed to close the shop until staff workers readjusted their work-time to open Garment Gallery.

Posters, asking for people to volunteer three hours a week, were tacked up in several places. A number of women who saw the posters at The Grange, the Fredonia Opera House, Harvest Chapel and other places, responded to Rural Ministry, offering their time and energy..

These women working together with Natalie are now keeping the Garment Gallery open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and also on Saturdays. The Garment Gallery supports working people who cannot shop during the work week.
