Jewelry 4 God International is Launched to Fight Against Human Trafficking
Charleston Gazette, WV
Washington, DC, (PRWEB) July 31, 2007 — Jewelry 4 God International, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, announced today its’ official launch in response to the overwhelming need to empower and rescue others around the world from human trafficking, the sex industry, drug addiction, gangs, and other life controlling problems.
“Worldwide, women exploit their bodies because of the need for money, in many cases, in order to support their parents or children. Those who are sold into the sex industry are all too often tied, beaten, raped, and burned until they comply,” Tim Zello, Founder and President of Jewelry 4 God said. “They usually stay in prostitution because other available unskilled jobs pay significantly less.”
“In order to be fully empowered and become productive in society, those who are rescued need a restoration of dignity and self-esteem,” he said. “Preventing women and men from returning to their old lifestyle requires teaching them the skills necessary to have a sustainable job and income, so vocational training and business opportunities are key.”
Jewelry 4 God teaches hand crafting one of a kind jewelry out of sterling silver and semi-precious stones and product marketing to marginalized individuals.
“Tying a woman’s love of jewelry with teaching women vocational skills to help them support themselves and their families is nothing more than genius,” wrote Arlene Allen, Editor of Woman’s Touch, an online magazine for women.
Jewelry 4 God has trained and empowered others in India (http://www.jewelry4god.com/BombayTrainingPhotos.html), Pakistan (http://www.jewelry4god.com/PakistanTeenChallenge.html), South Africa (http://www.jewelry4god.com/SouthAfricaTeenChallenge.html), Jamaica (http://www.jewelry4god.com/JamaicaTeenChallenge.html), El Salvador (http://www.jewelry4god.com/ElSalvadorTeenChallengeTrainingPhotos.html) , and Aruba (http://www.jewelry4god.com/ArubaPhotos.html).
“One of the greatest gifts you can give marginalized people is the ability to support themselves,” Zello said. “Our jewelry training, however, provides much more than economic benefits. It gives the students a sense of self-worth, an opportunity to express creativity, and it is therapeutic.”
Over the next eight months Jewelry 4 God will train:
Teenage orphaned girls at a large residential facility in Sri Lanka for those left homeless by the devastating tsunami that struck Asia on December 26, 2004.
Recovering female heroin addicts and prostitutes at a residential drug rehabilitation program in Serbia.
Foster moms in the African nation of Swaziland (http://www.jewelry4god.com/Swaziland.html) so they can provide shelter, food, and medicine
for the AIDS abandoned children they care for.
Women rescued from human trafficking and the sex industry in India.
The challenge that Jewelry 4 God trainees face is the ability to sell their jewelry in countries where local economies are poor. So, like other home party based businesses Jewelry 4 God is offering the opportunity for women across America to earn extra income by selling jewelry “for God,” handcrafted by the marginalized individuals who have been trained around the world, to their family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc., through home/office shows.
In order to help drive sales, Jewelry 4 God offers unique incentives to their representatives. For example, after total sales reach over certain increments (starting at just $75,000) an all expenses paid trip is earned to travel with the President and/or Vice-President of Jewelry 4 God to one of the places where training has been or will be provided in the Caribbean, Latin America, South America, Europe, Africa, or Asia.
Jewelry 4 God also offers wholesale pricing for retail stores.
“It’s a win-win situation for everybody,” Zello announced, “Women get to earn extra income, free travel, etc. while helping other women and supporting a worthy cause. Others are empowered and rescued from their old life and Jewelry 4 God fulfills its’ mission.”
Zello said, “One former addict told me, ‘The opportunities for marginalized people to learn a skill to support themselves are very few. Often their cries for help are never heard and they die helpless and hopeless. To me, Jewelry 4 God is a life preserver being thrown to them – practical help and a glimmer of hope! People in pain want to get out of pain, so many turn to drugs just like I did. What I wouldn’t have done to have someone tell me there was a place I could go or trade I could learn to start a new life”’
Jewelry 4 God is providing just that – skills and opportunities necessary for a new life!
