Jewelry Artists & Crafters Unite for Katrina Victims
Jewelry Weblog, CA
There’s more than just a revolution going on over Craft Revolution – Over 500 artist (many making jewelry and other wonderful hand-crafted accessories) have joined together to raise funds for helping victims of Hurricane Katrina. This group has even created a separate on-line shop, Crafters United, to help you shop and help at the same time. Some of the jewelry you’ll find include:
Wish bracelets made from sterling silver, semi-precious stones, and ribbon (donated by vintage faerie).
A hummingbird Swarovski AB crystal cube adjustable Y-necklace (donated by White Wolf Gallery)
An olive jade marquise and peridot green serpentine necklace (donated by Drama Queen).
As I browsed through their shop, I found most items to be extremely reasonable, and according to Craft Revolution, ” All proceeds from the sales will go to the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.”
