This after investors and businessmen in Saudi Arabia responded positively when MPC owner Sitti Onggo showcased her pearl jewelry products in an exhibit in the Arab country.

MPC was invited by the Nezan Alwan Marketing to join in trade shows for facilitation purposes.
Onggo’s pearl jewelry was a hit in the same country making P500,000 spot sales. A number of companies also offered supply contract arrangements, and these are all under study by the company.
Onggo, who was among the delegates of the trade and investment mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by the regional office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), had to stay for a week to meet other buyers and to finalize negotiations.
A total of P3 million worth of pearl jewelry orders with the Green Emerald Jewelry is under negotiation.
Meanwhile, MPC also received an offer for a joint venture arrangement in the production of pearl jewelry in Saudi Arabia. Workers from the Philippines will be brought to Saudi.
However, MPC decided not to push through with the project, instead it only agreed to focus in exporting finished jewelry.
