Jewelry making class offered at Newport Rec Center

Learn how to make bracelets, earrings and necklaces during classes taught by Cassandra Strom at the Newport Recreation Center. The classes will take place Saturdays and Sundays for ages 7 through adult. Prices vary according to what is being made that day. All materials will be furnished and are included in the price.
Crystal and chain earring and a matching necklace will be taught from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20 and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. The cost is $30.
An introduction to making seed beads, and making a four-strand beaded necklace and matching bracelet will be taught Nov. 3 and 4. Cost for this class is $40.
