New American Girl Dolls Jewelry Class Offered for Youth

A new American Girl Dolls Jewelry Class being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District will give girls age eight to 12 a chance to make jewelry accessories for their dolls.

This program is for girls ages eight to 12. Participants will design matching necklaces and stretchy bracelets for themselves and their doll and can wear them home. There will be a large variety of beads for bracelets and heart charms for necklaces. Search for the keyword “jewelry” to find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities Catalog and online listings.

The American Girl© Collection involves engaging stories about girls living at important times in the past which bring history to life for grade-school girls. Participants will explore the past and discover what life was like during the times of these characters.

American Girl© Dolls Jewelry will take place beginning at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, at Beadazzler, 7909 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park. The cost for one 60-minute session is $8 for Johnson County residents or $9 for nonresidents. In addition, there is a supply fee of $8 to $12, payable to the instructor.
