RAPAPORT… Sotheby’s London is offering select pieces of jewelry by renowned jewelers and contemporary artists at its upcoming Important Jewels sale, to raise funds for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC.)
The London Important Jewels sale is scheduled for on December 17.
Sotheby’s said a number of the works donated will include their original designs and an experience, such as a champagne lunch hosted by the jeweler or a personal tour of the artist’s studio, going to the winning bid.
Among the selection is an exquisite yellow “vermeuil” gold cuff bracelet with numerous interwoven tubular sections by Louise Bourgeois, donated by the artist and Hauser and Wirth.
Other pieces to be donated include designs by Anish Kapoor, Subodh Gupta and Damien Hirst, as well as works by jewelers including Chatila, Theo Fennel, Chopard, David Morris, Shaun Leane and Queensbee.
