Spring- Summer 2014 Fashion Week

VietNamNet Bridge – More than 1500 designs from 46 designers nationwide are blossoming at the Spring – Summer 2014 Fashion Week in Hanoi, which is considered the launch pad for Vietnamese new trends.
The Week was opened yesterday by the Vietnam Textile Corporation Vinatex at the International Convention Centre. Six leading garment companies will participate in the Week, including the Viet Tien Textile Corporation, Phuong Dong Textile and Garment Company, Garment Company No. 10, Nha Be Textile Joint Stock Company, Hanoi Textile Corporation Hanosimex, and Viet Thang Garment Joint Stock Company.
300 samples from designers Phu Tan, Thanh Nga, Quang Hoa, Ngoc Dieu and Trong Nguyen from Viet Tien Textile Corporation at the opening show reflected young, elegant and luxurious styles, using cotton, linen, jean and other materials.
Designer Minh Hanh, head of the Fashion and Design Institute – Fadin – said the designs not only reflect the trend for the future, but they are also messages from the 46 designers. This year’s designs focus less on details, and more on structure, materials and colors, bringing about more personalisation.
The following nights will feature shows by Garment Company No. 10, Nha Be Textile Joint Stock Company, Hanoi Textile Corporation Hanosimex, Viet Thang Garment Joint Stock Company and Phuong Dong Textile and Garment Company.
There are also three shows by renowned designers, such as Minh Khoa, Le Len, Nhat Minh, Cong Khanh, Nguyen Hang, Hung Viet, etc., on November 24th, 25th and 26th.
