Paris pelted by PETA: Paris Hilton was in the U.K. for London Fashion Week when she became the latest celebrity victim of PETA’s high-profile antifur campaign. As she escorted designer Julien Macdonald down the red carpet to an after-party following Macdonald’s fashion show, a PETA protester hurled flour at the pair. (To be fair, the focus of the flour bombing was Macdonald, whose collection features the use of fur. A PETA spokeswoman said afterward: “Julien Macdonald may have been able to ignore images of bloody skinned animals gasping for breath in the past, but hopefully a dash of flour will help him forsake fur once and for all.”) Hilton was unfazed, though, according to a witness, “Paris was lucky and was only hit a little bit.
