Vinatex To Build US$25 MLN Textiles Trading Centre In Vietnam

HANOI, April 5 Asia Pulse – The Vietnam Garment and Textile Group (Vinatex Group) plans to build a garment and textile materials trading centre in Ho Chi Minh City with total investment capital of US$25 million.
Uong Tien Thinh, General Director of the Ho Chi Minh City-based Garment and Textile Trade Company, made the announcement at a seminar in the city on April 4.
Covering five hectares in Thu Duc district, the centre will include offices, an exhibition area, materials stores, shops, bonded warehouses, entertainment and culinary sections. It will help organise trade promotion programmes and build trademarks for businesses.
The centre is expected to attract at least 500 garment and textile materials suppliers both at home and abroad. Enterprises investing in the centre will enjoy tax incentives from the Government and the city, Thinh said.
Construction of the centre is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2014.
