VIETNAM: Over 100 foreign companies display at Textile and Garment Expo 07

HO CHI MINH CITY: More than 100 foreign textiles and apparel companies displayed their materials and equipment at the international exhibition the Textile and Garment Expo 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City; Le Quoc An, president of the Vinatex and the Viet Nam Textiles and Apparel Association said.
The exhibition was held at the HCM City International Exhibition and Convention Centre from April 4-7 by the Hong Kong-based CP Exhibition Company, the Viet Nam Textile and Apparel Corporation (Vinatex) and Vietcham Expo – an affiliate of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). This is the biggest exhibition held annually in the textiles and apparel sector.
They come from 25 nations and territories, including Belgium, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong (China), Japan, India, Italy, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the UK and the US.
Viet Nam ranks 13th among the world’s textiles and apparel exporters with its export turnover reaching 5.8 billion USD in 2014. The country is expected to earn 10 billion USD from textiles and apparel exports in 2014.
A similar exhibition will also be held at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Trade Fair Centre in Ha Noi from April 17-19. The total number of the participants at the two exhibitions will number around 370.
