Fire hits portion of MGM Garment

A fire burned a portion of the MGM Garment Factory in Chalan Piao on Sunday night, the Department of Public Safety said yesterday.
No one was injured in the blaze.
A police officer stated in her report that when she arrived at the scene at 9:50pm after receiving a call about the fire, she noticed six men trying to put out a burned portion of the MGM building.
The officer said that others were bringing more fire extinguishers from the building.
After five minutes, fire trucks arrived.
The officer, along with other responding police officers, directed the tenants, MGM employees and bystanders to move to a safe location away from the building.
Arson investigators are still looking into the cause of fire, DPS said.
