Mascot in Vietnam looking for a production manager for its new factory.
Denmark’s biggest producer of quality work wear, Mascot International A/S, is now getting ready to start producing in Vietnam from its own factory in Vietnam. Mascot is currently constructing 15.000 m2 production and warehouse facilities in Hai Duong, 50 kilometers from Hanoi. The factory will be managed by Mascot’s own subsidiary, Mascot International Vietnam.
“We plan to start production in March 2014, and we are currently putting the senior management team in place. We are now looking for a well qualified production manager with solid experience from the garment industry in Asia,†says Thomas Bo Pedersen, managing director of Mascot International Vietnam.
In the first phase of the project the production manager will have the overall responsibility for the establishment and management of production lines with approximately 550 operators.
The senior management team of the project consists of expatriates as well as Vietnamese.
“We believe that we can get the best of ‘both worlds’ by joining the qualifications and experience of Vietnamese as and managers with an international background. Our new production manager could be from anywhere in the world, but it is essential that he or she knows the garment industry very well,†says Thomas Bo Pedersen.
Mascot is Denmark’s biggest producers of work wear and one of the largest companies in Europe within the sector.
