OZARK, Ark. (AP) – The mayor of Ozark says a company that planned to put garment plant in his town has changed its mind.

Mayor Vernon McDaniel says American Spiritwear Jackets Inc. told him Monday that it would not move its operation to his town. The plant, which would have made baseball jackets, would have employed 40 to 60 workers, McDaniel said.

McDaniel says the El Dorado Springs, Mo.-based company cited internal problems for not moving its operation to Ozark. McDaniel says the planned location for the building, a 70,000-square-foot building, will be relisted on the Arkansas Economic Development Commission for potential employers.
