Indonesian Products Exhibited at “Belt & Road Expo”

A number of superior products from Indonesia were exhibited at the Belt & Road Expo 2021 in Shanghai. At the international exhibition, Indonesia established a special pavilion. Some Indonesian products include biscuits, prawn crackers, instant noodles, swallow’s nest, and coconut juice drinks are presented there. Archipelago cultural arts performances also presented at the Indonesia pavilion.

In addition to Indonesia, there were about 30 countries that participated in the exhibition, including Australia, Dominica, Ghana, India, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Madagascar, Nigeria, Mauritius, Thailand, Poland, Turkey, Vietnam, and China as the host. Eight Indonesian food and beverage product companies recorded direct sales transactions at the event.

Indonesia’s participation in the exhibition is a form of participation in expanding the Indonesian food and beverage product market in China. Through this exhibition, it is hoped that there will be more variety of Indonesian food and beverage products, which of course are of high quality to penetrate the Chinese market.

In addition to the various products offered in China, Indonesia has has a lot of handicraft products that have high selling value. Indonesia is a country that is rich in various kinds of diversity, including the diversity of handicraft products which actually have a very high selling value and artistic value. One example is Indonesian furniture and handicraft products. Until now, the furniture and handicraft industry still exists and generates foreign exchange when other industries are affected by the crisis, because this industry is supported by large local content. With the potential of natural resources and human resources that are well managed, Indonesia can become a leader for the furniture and handicraft industry in ASEAN.
