A culinary product is identified by its brand. Often times, the brand also identifies the quality of a product. Regarding brands, there are a number of Indonesian culinary products that are often mistaken for foreign origin. The assumption is built, perhaps because the quality of the product is equivalent to an outside brand.

Hoka-Hoka Bento
The Japanese-style fast food-only franchise, Hoka-Hoka Bento was founded in 1985. Since then, Hokben has been the go-to for similar products. After three decades have passed, this restaurant already has 150 branches spread across various regions of Indonesia.

CFC
Its name is synonymous with the state in the United States. But who would have thought, California Fried Chicken (CFC) is an original Indonesian product. This fried chicken franchise restaurant was founded in 1983, and has 250 outlets in the archipelago.

J.CO
The J.CO donut product franchise is owned by salon entrepreneur Johnny Andrean. He founded it in Tangerang in 2006, and until now he has opened branches at home and abroad.

Sour Sally
By focusing on selling frozen yogurt, Sour Sally has been established since 2008. Then in 2013 came the concept of Sour Sally mini which is more popular and now has outlets in Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Bali, Medan and other cities.
