Handicraft industry Morocco participates in ‘Global Village’ festival in Dubai

The portal of the Moroccan stand, covering about 1,000 m², reflects Moroccan culture through the aesthetic of architecture and handcrafts.
Morocco is exhibiting the Zellige mosaics, a means of decoration in Moroccan architecture, to put visitors into the atmosphere of Moroccan medinas and souks.
The national stand includes 22 spaces dedicated to handicrafts products like copper, wood, silver and glass and other items such the Moroccan caftan.
“Morocco’s constant presence in exhibitions and festivals organised in the UAE is a token of the strong relations between the two countries,†affirmed Mounir Bensaîd, president of the Moroccan Center for the promotion of exports (CMPE), in charge of supervising the participation of Morocco in this event.
“The Moroccan stand, which reflects the ancestral culture and the civilization of Morocco, is a way to bring visitors closer to the authentic Moroccan products, the dexterity of the Moroccan craftsman and the quality of his materials,†he added.
The visitors to the Moroccan stand can also admire shows of the national folkloric art organised for the occasion.
