The Ministry of Industry has set a target of fetching between US $47 and 50 billion in export turnover by increasing the export of industrial products from 76% in 2005 to 77-80% in 2010.

In 2014, the industrial sector strives to earn US $28.4 billion from the export of industrial products, a year-on-year rise of 15.9%.

To reach the target, the sector will focus on the export of processed and manufactured industrial products, including textile and garments, shoes, electronic appliances, spare computer parts and wooden furniture.

It will also develop production of other potential products such as cable, mechanical products, fine art and handicraft items, and ships. (VNA)
